A 5 Live investigation has found that Championship clubs are making huge financial losses, with more than half the clubs in the league spending more on wages than they are bringing in, in revenue.

Working with accountants Deloitte and sport finance experts Vysyble, 5 Live found Championship sides ran up a record high total of £307 in pre-tax losses in 2017/18, and overall spending on player and staff wages exceeded clubs’ revenue by 11%.

The EFL says it has set up a "working group" of clubs to look at possible changes that could help the long-term sustainability of clubs in future.

5 Live's Tony Livesey speaks to BBC sport reporter Simon Stone, Deloitte’s Dan Jones, former-Wigan chairman David Sharpe and fans from a number of Championship clubs about the findings, and discuss where it leaves the future sustainability of the league’s clubs.
