TAMMA joined John for a chat on her new song We Know better.
Melbourne artist Tamma has collaborated with American producers Kiings to create upbeat the summer anthem 'We Know Better'. Separated by the Pacific Ocean, Chris, Sean and TAMMA got to work crafting the track over FaceTime to offer up a summertime morsel about leaving your worries at the door and enjoying the simple things in life.

TAMMA has been addicted to soul music since an early age, growing up with classics such as Etta James, Nina Simone, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Dire Straits. She's inspired by the musicians who pave their own way in the industry and make things happen for themselves, preferring to stick to being an independent artist with the freedom to experiment and explore new sounds and ideas. TAMMA has spent many years after vocal surgery, writing, learning piano, gigging and finding her confidence again, the determination and fire in her belly never left. She released her debut single 'Beat You Down' in October 2018 a song for her family after the loss of her nephew. She was overwhelmed with the response and how deeply it connected with people. TAMMA is currently writing her first ever EP and is set to complete the recording of it in October this year. Combining contemporary pop and electronic elements and the timbres of traditional and contemporary soul music TAMMA uses her voice at the center of these arrangements: lyrically and thematically communicating resilience, hustle and drive, as my songs explore the strength it takes to push through adversity and come out on top.
