Gavin - The lead Singer of " The Jackies " Joined John on the Phone to discuss their New Songs and New release " the Jackies"
The Jackies are a Sydney based 4-piece best described as an eclectic 80's/90's indie infused guitar rock band that regularly ply their trade live in the pubs and clubs of Sydney City, and up and down its northern and southern beaches. The Jackies guitar rock sound has influences stemming from classic Aussie rock bands like You Am I, Midnight Oil, The Living End, Vance Joy and Powderfinger, and international acts such as Radiohead, The Black Crowes, Weezer, The White Stripes and Royal Blood. The Jackies have a sound that invokes memories of growing up in suburban Australia and a commentary in that speaks both their individuality and the band's collective soul. Their lyrics speak to a lifetimes worth of experiences with true emotional attachment to the subject matter. Their gigs are about having fun and rocking out with the audience while supporting the Australian live music scene.
