SHOW NOTES:
In Podcast Episode 168, “Where Did the Lord Burst through for You?” Kim discusses the places in our lives where we have seen the Lord burst through on our behalves. She challenges listeners to prayerfully reflect on those places and to consider naming them and placing reminders around for daily encouragement.
The primary scripture text for this episode is 2 Samuel 5:17-25 with 20 as the focal verse.
20 So David went to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. “The Lord did it!” David exclaimed. “He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” So he named that place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”).

30 Jacob named the place Peniel (which means “face of God”), for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been spared.” (Genesis 32:30)
12 Samuel then took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and Jeshanah. He named it Ebenezer (which means “the stone of help”), for he said, “Up to this point the Lord has helped us!” (1 Samuel 7:12)
