In Podcast Episode 219, “One Man’s Burden Might Be Another’s Blessing,” Kim discusses the importance of allowing others to come alongside us and bear our burdens. Sometimes we become so focused on not burdening others that we steal their blessing of being a helping hand or heart.
Our focal passage for this episode is 2 Samuel 19:31-40 with the focal verse of 35.
35 I am eighty years old today, and I can no longer enjoy anything. Food and wine are no longer tasty, and I cannot hear the singers as they sing. I would only be a burden to my lord the king.
