The Lake Orion High School girls basketball team hadn't won a district championship since 2010. For more than a decade, the Dragons lost in the opening game of the tournament.

This year, players wrote down on cards what their goals were for this season. Many of them listed winning a district title. 

When the Dragons upset OAA White Conference rival Rochester to win the championship, one could say it was in the cards.

Coach Robert Brydges joined me to talk about their magical run and the group he has coming back next season that hopes to repeat as champions.
