A Long Look Podcast

A Long Look is for art lovers as well as people interested in art who feel intimidated or overwhelmed by museums. Each 10-minute episode opens with a unique experience — a short, vivid description of an artwork as lifelong art and museum lover Karen Jackson shares the discoveries and questions that come up while looking for minutes instead of the usual 6-10 seconds. And you’ll find out the history, mystery or controversy about the work or the artist!

Karen approaches art as a fan, so no jargon, just an easy-going, sometimes irreverent look at works in Washington DC's world-class museums and the very human stories behind them. Plus, the descriptions provide blind or visually impaired listeners a way to enjoy art too!
