Faith is a supernatural system of perception that is given to those who are saved.  Faith is not mere God-talk.  Faith is a system of perception that believes the Word of God by acting on His Word.  In the Old Testament there is no noun for faith.  Where the word faith is used in the Old testament is was imposed on the text.  Faith is what one does, not what one says.  However, in the New Testament we are given a powerful definition of faith that challenges us exchange tired empiricism for radical life-changing faith.
