This episode is a deep dive into the 2020 U.S.Open’s first week, culminating in U.S. Open tennis tournament referee, Soeren Friemel, defaulting World #1, Novak Djokovic, for accidentially hitting Lines Judge, Laura Clark, in the throat with a tennis ball that he flicked to the back of the court in frustration after he lost his service game to Pablo Carrena Busta.

Djokovic has apologized for the incident. He was not the person who outed the identity of Laura Clark. That would be her own family, who apparently shared this information with local news media outlets in her hometown of Owensboro, KY.

According to U.S. Open reports, Ms. Clark, who after being hit stumbled to the ground and sat gasping for air before standing and walking off the court unassisted, is doing well and plans to make herself available for future matches. Her family outing her identity and the subsequent additional stress that appears to be causing, however, could change her status.

If you love tennis, please listen and enjoy. Otherwise, this episode is not for you.
