The first episode, what should have been one of the biggest movies of the 1980s...... it wasn't but it was a hell of a lot of fun.

In 1987 Cannon released a movie based on one TV's most popular cartoon series and a toy range that took the world by storm. It was meant to be 'The next Star Wars'...... the movie bombed and added to the movie company going out of business.

This was the first movie I saw at the cinema as a kid, I loved and still watch it with a smile from time to time.

I am not alone in my appreciation for this movie but what do people who didn't grow up with it think? Is it an underrated classic or actual trash that seems far better than it is due to nostalgia??
