Many of you who have been in eCommerce for a while will know Nati from his time as Managing Director of Catch and the Director, CEO and Chairman of Octomedia which publishes Inside Retail. Today, Nati joins me as the Co Founder and Executive Director of TradeSquare - Australia’s wholesale one-stop shop for business - with over 150,000 products all in one place and 8,000+ buyers. Recently TradeSquare announced TradeSquare Connect which allows retailers to turn into wholesalers.
As you would expect from someone as experienced as Nati, we have a cracker of an episode. We cover topics like the differences between B2B and B2C, why product managers and trading managers are the most crucial roles in eCommerce and why he didn’t do any research before launching TradeSquare - he just went for it, went with his gut. But I feel things go up a level in the second half of the chat, where we ask Nati for his personal advice and get a load of gems around his way of getting shit done, playing to your strengths, the people he surrounds himself with and his advice for those considering their next eCommerce career move. Honestly, there are so many little pieces of gold in there, delivered in Nati’s no-BS style that really hit home for me.
