JK Rowling, rowling, gone! - a podcast by Aim for the Bushes

Ok so after a brief hiatus we are back! Today we talk about JK Rowling and Authorial Intent. Remember Harry Potter? Of course you do! It’s a huge thing, with books and movies and plays and other stuff. Since the book series has ended Rowling has gone back and altered our understanding of how the universe of Harry Potter works. What caused this? Part of it is social media and the access fans have to the author. Part is caused by people’s hyper realistic approach to how internal mechanics of a fictional universe functions.

What does this mean? Well people wanted to know why wizards had bathrooms - human technology which also happens to be despised by wizards. So Rowling had to give an answer. And it's gonna be worse than you think.

Nestled between this is a slight side tangent (sorry but they happen) about AOC and the Green New Deal and how things are taken out of context. It all ties in (I hope)!
