This month’s guest is German DJ, producer, and label owner David Koch, also known as @DeWalta.

Although a classically trained musician who studied at Hans Eisler music conservatory in Berlin, David quickly realized that the best skills and knowledge don’t necessarily come from academic training: his contemporary creative output has been largely self-taught. David’s music depends on his consistent interest in experiment and discovery, and in this episode, we discuss his different learning methods, his various mentors, the books and essays that filter into his creativity, and the evolution of his criticial thinking.
