Jesi Kim, MD discusses an important article that demonstrates how the improved temporal resolution of dual-source CT scanners can allow coronary CTAs to be performed without strict heartrate control while improving image quality. This finding and discussion is of interest because not administering an oral beta blocker during a coronary CTA can decreasing CT completion time and accelerate downstream management.
