Episode 105: My Friend Rob Mills - a podcast by David James Young

:: ::

Fifteen years ago, Australia was introduced to a cheeky Melbourne-born singer with a true-blue nickname and dimples out the wazoo. Rob Mills - or Millsy, as he's better known - was a breakout star of Australian Idol in its first season, arriving at it after years of slugging it out in pubs and singing to anyone who would listen. In 2018, Mills still keeps as busy as he ever has. Though he's gotten out of the pop game, he's an active theatre performer and current Neighbours supervillain. Presently starring in Puffs, the barely-legal play concerning the universe of a particular boy wizard, this chat takes place in the foyer of the Alex Theatre in St. Kilda. Millsy bares all on his inspiration, his reinvention and his traversing of mediums. Falling short of his one night in Paris, it's a tell-all.
Puffs is running at the Alex Theatre in St. Kilda until July 9. For dates and tickets, visit www.puffstheplay.com
