Episode 108: My Friends Press Club - a podcast by David James Young

Press Club played their first show at the start of 2017. 18 months later, they'd opened for everyone from The Smith Street Band to Kingswood and sold out their first-ever headlining tour. Sure enough, this kind of thing just didn't happen overnight. The members of Press Club have been at it for years now - in fact, bassist Ian MacRae and drummer Frank Lees have been playing in bands together since they were in high school. Before a packed-out show at Sydney's Chippo Hotel, the rhythm section convened in a nearby park to talk about their unexpected background and the current wave of momentum they're riding.

Press Club's debut album, Late Teens, is out now.
It can be downloaded, streamed and purchased here: https://pressclub.bandcamp.com/album/late-teens

The band play two sold-out shows at Bloodhound Bar this weekend before appearing at Beer Incider and Yours & Owls festival later this year.
