Red City Radio know they belong to the land, and the land they belong to is grand. As one of Oklahoma City's major musical exports, the band have been taking their barroom-ready take on melodic punk to every last sweaty room that will have them. It's changed a lot since drummer Dallas Tidwell co-founded the band in 2005 - so much so, it's left him as the only original member. For this chat, he's joined by the person with the second-longest tenure - vocalist/guitarist Garrett Dale - and the two talk shop on tour beers, the differences between "Rapper's Delight" and "Gangsta's Paradise" and the moments in the band's history that have made their teen selves proud.
Red City Radio tour in the US with Hot Water Music in July and Taking Back Sunday in October. For a full run of dates, head to www.redcityradio.net
Special thanks to Brock Devlin, Jo Wymer, blood sweat & beers and Adam Buncher.
