Episode 157: My Friends The Carbons - a podcast by David James Young

from 2020-06-11T22:00

Conroy Ross, Paul Minor and Tomy Thisdale grew up in small-town Canada, dreaming of the west coast. Each found their way to music in a similar fashion, and soon enough they ended up in a tight-knit music community exploring their love of rock music in all its shapes and forms. Having originally formed The Carbons with a different lineup, Tomy first recruited Paul and then Conroy to be a part of the band - and now, with well over a year of experience playing together, The Carbons have their sights set on the next level. In November 2019, the trio toured Australia for the very first time. In-between dates at the Australian Music Week conference, the band held court upstairs at the Town Hall Hotel and shared tales from ramshackle pubs, makeshift US jaunts and Montreal assholes.
