Episode 158: My Friends Obscura Hail - a podcast by David James Young

:: ::

What started in a bedroom on the south coast of New South Wales has now spread its wings and traversed the country - singing songs, sharing stories and exploring a wide spectrum of musical ideas. Sean Conran was synonymous with Obscura Hail from his teens and well into his 20s before the moniker expanded to include other people. In 2019, this included bassist/vocalist Tamara Issa and drummer/percussionist Stevie West - and it was this line-up that created the project's most recent effort, the Zero EP. While on a national tour in support of it back in November 2019, the trio shared tales from across parks in Nowra, rough nights in Bendigo and crab shacks in outer-suburban Melbourne.
