This supposed overnight success story has come through years of DIY touring, slide-guitar detours and a steady build up to one of the country's most celebrated contemporary songwriters. Days before chalking up four songs in the Triple J Hottest 100 - and hours before performing a sold-out show at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney - Courtney spoke about her initial interest in music, the communities she's involved herself with along the way and the tall-poppy syndrome that has come with her success.
