10 years ago, Frank Iero was on the front-line of the Black Parade, leading the so-called emo revolution out of the alt-club nights and into the arenas, guitars and eyeliner in hand. As guitarist and backing vocalist in My Chemical Romance, Iero was a part of the major dynamic shift in both what a major-selling contemporary rock band could look like, but also sound like. Fast forward to present day, and Iero is still forging ahead as the leader of frnkiero andthe cellabration; a band that is hard on your spell-checker, but easy on the ear. With a brief window of time in his promo trail in the lead-up to an in-store appearance at Sydney's Utopia Records, Iero talked through growing up as a wide-eyed Jersey punk, elevating to arena status and the little old lady that almost ended it all.

frnkiero andthe cellabration's debut album, Stomachaches, is available in Australia via Cooking Vinyl.
