Actor, singer and songwriter Anthony Ramos joins us to discuss his starring role in the film, "In the Heights," as well as his new album, Love and Lies, out today.

Malia Scharf and Max Basch join us to discuss making the documentary, "Kenny Scharf: When Worlds Collide." Malia is Kenny's daughter and in the film, the directors take viewers on a journey through the art world of the 1980s when Kenny Scarf met and befriended Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Along the way, viewers come to understand Scharf's iconic pop art style in a new light. The film comes out in theaters June 25.

Writer Krys Malcolm Belc is transmasculine and nonbinary, but after he gave birth to his son, legal documents listed him as the “natural mother of the child,” a term that didn’t exactly fit his identity. Belc explores gender identity, the idea of motherhood, and parenting in his new book, The Natural Mother of the Child: A Memoir of Nonbinary Parenthood.

Musician Jill Sobule joins us to discuss "F*CK7THGRADE," a concert film based on stories from Sobule’s childhood. Sobule will also be performing at City Winery on July 15.

This episode is guest-hosted by Rebeca Ibarra.
