In honor of the 25th anniversary of National Poetry Month, we will discuss some poetry in this moment with Jennifer Benka, President and Executive Director of the Academy of American Poets. Benka will share her selection of poems, and we will take calls from listeners.

Author, speaker and life coach Brené Brown and #MeToo co-founder Tarana Burke join us to share their experiences working together as editors of You Are Your Best Thing: An Anthology of Vulnerability, Shame, Resilience and the Black Experience.

A New York Times piece titled “Why Women Do the Household Worrying” features an interview with Allison Daminger, a Ph.D. candidate in sociology and social policy at Harvard University, who published a paper in the American Sociological Review explaining this feeling that many women share. She joins us to discuss her research, and we take listener calls.
