Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.
This week, we begin by discussing free agency and who the Mets should be in on this offseason, especially with the addition of Steve Cohen. We then discuss the news that should Cohen be approved he will invest heavily in analytics and he announced that he will continue to pay the workers who were affected by the pandemic.
Next, we again felt the need to talk about the difference between Marcus Stroman and Trevor Bauer since many folks on Twitter can’t figure out why we prefer one over the other. Bauer again harassed a woman on Twitter under the guise of “innocent fun” and the media continues to prop him up.
Speaking of the media, Walker Buehler’s pants became a topic of discussion postgame and some in the media thought this was valid journalism.
Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
