First up this week, Brian and Chris discuss the upcoming change in ownership, and the various aspects of that deal, including some wishful thinking and some, perhaps, some reluctance to acknowledge that the deal might not happen or, at very least, take a long time to work.
Next up, we discuss some of the Mets’ that fans didn’t acknowledge for their greatness at the time, and transition that into a discussion of the Mets’ new coaching staff.
We then discuss the trade for Jake Marisnick, and try to understand the seeming anger from certain corners of the fanbase over this trade.
Finally, we discuss the departure of Zack Wheeler, and the various aspects of this departure, from the price tag, to the avoidance of a trade at the deadline, to the lack of an extension a few years ago.
