For this episode, Bodies of Horror revisits two topics that we’ve touched on here before: Hitchcock (Rear Window) and complex roles of mothers.

Nichole is joined by the incredible Rebecca McCallum, Assistant Editor of Ghouls Magazine, Senior Contributor at the Moving Pictures Film Club, and all around expert and guide of all things Hitch.

We discuss, in detail, the worlds of 1960’s Psycho and 1963’s The Birds and the mothers that inhabit them, how the depiction of these figures connect to how we’ve talked about mothers in the previous Hitch episode, and how they speak to a dynamic familiar to many of us with disabilities.
