In this episode of the Angel Foods Show, I share my life story and how I ended up a cake business ‘expert’.
From checkout chick, disability support worker, cleaner, child care and cakes.
What you will learn:
- Went from a shy, Capricorn, middle daughter, nicknamed ‘Rebekah The Rock’ to a chick bent on world cupcake domination (not really … well, kinda!)
- How I got 2 certificates and qualifications. They are worlds apart!
- Fallen into 5 different careers, including 15 years in the food industry! (Checkout chick-slash-sales assistant, relief manager, apprentice, cleaner, day care, support worker/carer AND own home cake business.)
- Had previously had 2 businesses before Angel Foods (Cleaner, Home Day Care)
- Have done loads of traveling – India, England, Denmark, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Greece (also New Zealand, Vietnam, Cambodia).
- Previously worked 3 jobs at 1 time – 7 days a week for months
- How (& why?) I franchised at 9 months into business. When everyone told me I couldn’t. Oh, and I totally DIY’d it!
- How I got over 1 000 000 views on YouTube
- How I wrote my first eBook in 1 month and sold $7K within a month. (It now makes about $10K per year with me doing nothing!)
- How I write and sell information, all day, every day.
- How I created my signature program, Cake Business School back in 2014 and since has had over 200 people enrol and go through the training. Oh, and I totally made cheaper for $1 (trial period for the 1st month) and $9 p/m after that. (which no one is doing in this industry!) Because I understand profit margins are slim in the food industry!
- How I get over 60,000 page views per month (which is 15,000 sessions per month or 12,000 unique users per month), Google ranking #1 and that is since middle 2014.
