Everything which is favourite of Lord Ganesh is prepared in households the iconic Sukh Karta Dukh Harta aarti in sung in every house. From Bollywood Stars to Business Tycoons everyone is a devotee of the lord. People gather around mitra mandals where various activities for kids and elders are held. This festival gives everyone a chance to get involved in public service. The tradition of sarvajanik ganpati was started by Lokmanya Baal Gangadhar Tilak.
