Two years before the opening ceremony of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston tells Michael the city and region is ready for a 'fantastic' games. He says after the challenges we’ve all had, particularly live sport during Coronavirus crisis "we all need something to look forward to.” The Minister also confirms “we’ll see more changes" to the Commonwealth Games board following criticism for lack of diversity representatives. He was speaking as Smithfield, previously the site of Birmingham’s Wholesale Markets, was confirmed as the iconic venues for Beach Volleyball & 3x3 Basketball.
