Originals: A Tale of Trolls - a podcast by Are We Europe

The spread of Russian disinformation has taken mythical proportions. Professionalized and more convincing than ever, pro-Russian internet trolls and cyber experts are making vigorous efforts to destabilize European democracies. Their modus operandi? Muddling facts and fiction in order to deceive.  

Journalists Anne Sofie Hoffmann Schrøder, Roman Dobrokhotov and Anna Saraste conducted a cross-border research on this topic, which took them to Lithuania—one of the countries at the frontline of an information war between Russia and the West. They encountered the so-called “Lithuanian Elves” there who are fighting disinformation.
