David Fearne has been at Arrow for eight years, working in UKI, EMEA and global roles. He was most recently the technical director of Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business in UK and Ireland. Fearne specializes in big data and all things cloud, and was one of the founders of the ArrowSphere project. His career started as an IBM graduate,but has touched end-users, vendors, distributors and resellers with outcome-centric focuses ranging from central government and HPC to financial and space. In 2017, he was recognized as one of the 50 most influential people in big data in the UK, an acknowledgement he earned for his work on the “How Happy is London” project.Hosts

Paul C. Zikopoulos Vice President of Cognitive BigData Systems , IBMPaul C. Zikopoulos is the vice president of cognitive big data systems at IBM. He’s an award-winning writer and speaker and was once consulted on the topic of big data by the popular TV show “60 Minutes.” Zikopoulos also advises various universities on their graduate analytics programs and has been named to more than a dozen “Experts to Follow” lists on social media. As a seated board member for Women 2.0, a global brand for women in tech and entrepreneurship that works to close the gender gaps at tech companies. Zikopoulos is an advocate for women in technology. Zikopoulos has written 19 books and more than 360 articles on data. He doesn't think NoSQL is something you put on a resume if you don't have SQL skills and he knows JSON isn't a person in his department. Ultimately, Zikopoulos is trying to figure out the world according to Chloë, his daughter, whom he notes didn’t come with a handbook and is more complex than the topic of big data itself, but more fun too.

Shawn Rosemarin Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Global Field and Industry, HitachiShawn Rosemarin is currently CTO of Global Field and Industry at Hitachi. As part of the Executive Sales Leadership team, Rosemarin holds direct accountability for all strategy and key talent across both pre-sales and Hitachi Vantara’s Industry Solutions Group. Prior to this role, Rosemarin was a chief technologist within the Americas Field CTO team at VMware and held various roles in technology and sales leadership. Rosemarin’s passion is working closely with customers to help them transform digitally with everything from private/hybrid cloud to end-user computing transformation and emerging IoT Solutions. Over the past 18 years, Rosemarin has gained experience with various technology organizations, including IBM, Dell and Hitachi Data Systems. An active seminar presenter, Rosemarin enjoys sharing experiences, simplifying complex concepts and highlighting best practices. Rosemarin holds a Bachelor of Commerce in management information systems from Queen’s University.
