Today's question is about subject tracking with your drone. How do you fly fast, super-close, AND safe when subject tracking with your drone?

Our caller for today, Jeremy has a great question about subject tracking with your drone. To master this advanced skill, Jeremy is unsure how he can maintain a deadlock over his subject without losing control over the drone's orientation. And, can Jeremy capture the required footage without compromising on safety?

Subject tracking is a drone application that requires considerable practice and expertise. A drone pilot needs to fly fast (at the speed of the boat or car) and up-close to grab smooth footage. This becomes difficult and dangerous as you have to look at your screen AND monitor your drone. Can you control your drone orientation if you are looking away from your screen? And, can you safely fly your drone if you are looking away from the drone (at your screen)? What is the best way to resolve this dilemma?

In this show, we discuss possible solutions like hiring a VO (Visual Observer), using FPV goggles and flying in autonomous mode. Thanks for the great question, Jeremy. Fly Safe!
