Is this proposed ban harsh and uncalled for?Next, we discuss how the delayed launch of Remote ID is preventing drone technology from truly taking off. Remote ID or Drone ID allows authorities to detect drones using systems like DJI Aeroscope. This will enhance drone safety, and eventually lead to wider adoption of drone technology. However, hindered by organizational constraints and resource limitations, the FAA is unlikely to implement this much-needed system anytime soon. In this segment of the show, we debate if we need a federal agency dedicated solely to the unmanned industry.
