EP59 - Ian Boldsworth : The Artist Formerly Known As Ray Peacock - a podcast by Simon Caine
from 2016-08-11T08:55:51
Ian Boldsworth (@RayPeacock) is a comedian, podcaster and TV warm up act who has been a professional within the industry for over a decade. He's best known as "Ray Peacock". A name he is having to give up for one of the most bizarre reasons. In this very personal interview we talk about picking gigs, making a life and ensuring you're doing things for the right reasons.
I got him on the podcast to talk about -
- Being a TV warm up act
- Cutting back on the live circuit due to audiences
- Picking which gigs you do more selectively
- Focusing on building audiences through online content
- How mental health issues play a part in a performers life, finding your place in the industry and how family / relationships impact your work.
AND MORE!
This podcast would be useful to anyone interested in starting a podcast / video series and building an audience for it as well as trying to discover what "making it" is for them.

Please check out my other podcast - The Audio Time Capsule. In each episode a guest comes on, leaves 20 questions, then a year later comes back on and answers them. I then edit it so they're talking to their past self.
