Today’s show wasn’t all about numbers and teams and players. This opening salvo on today’s edition of The Bettor’s Box was about handling the mental side of handicapping. With a rough start to the season in the picks department, Adam took some time to talk about what he’s going through, what that process entails, and how to potentially get back on the right track. It was an honest assessment of what this business can do during the bad times.

Today’s Monday Mailbag featured questions about baseball, beer, arbitrage, movies, and more.

After that, it was time for a look Beyond the Box Score at Indians vs. Jays, Tigers vs. Royals, and Nationals vs. Mets. Adam also looked at some league-wide trends that are likely to have an impact going forward. He talked about favorites and overs and also about big line moves and the record on those thus far. That was the lead-in to the Down the Lines segment with recaps of line moves and a list of pitchers that you can expect to see money come in against.

After a pick for Monday night, Adam looked at four upcoming series this weekend and forecasted some likely plays for Yankees vs. Astros, Indians vs. Tigers, Dodgers vs. Cardinals, and Twins vs. Mets.
