Spin Kicks for the Crucifix with GratitudeTx - a podcast by Atxmetalpodcast

Originating from a Bill Lumberg meme (if you don't get the reference, you're missing out), I found GratitudeTx in the comment section.  After giving their music a listen on a run, I had to connect with them.   They are a hardcore / metalcore faith based band formed in Corpus Christi, Tx. They originated from a ministry called Thy Kingdom Come. They began ripping sets in July 2019 and we haven’t stopped since! They fill a space for fans who listen to No Zodiac, Hatebreed, Kublai Khan TX, Gideon, The Ghost Inside, Being as an Ocean, Take it back, and Norma Jean. In 2022, they ventured across Texas and as far off as Chicago. They have released two EPs and aim to release a third in late 2023.

I sat down with Adam Matthews (bass/vocals) and Noah Lozano (vocals) and had a blast.  We start off by Adam educating me about a movie called "The Green Room" which is about a punk rock band that becomes trapped in a secluded venue after finding a scene of violence.  From there we talk about GratitudeTx's music, divorce, life in the church, chip to bag ratio and upcoming tours.  Check the links below for more info.

I also broke the news that we will be attempting to host the very first "Texas VMA's" for metal/rock/punk/alternative music videos.  It's going to be an uphill battle but we think we are on to something.
