Observing human traditions - a podcast by Fr Francis J. Moloney SDB AM - Salesians of Don Bosco
from 2021-08-25T03:30
Observing human traditions: After four Sundays reflecting upon John 6, the Lectionary returns to the Gospel of Mark, but maintains its focus upon "eating." The leaders of Israel try to accuse Jesus and his disciples of unfaithfulness to their religious traditions. Jesus instructs them - and us - that we must live by the commandments of God, and not closed religious traditions. What lies deep within us makes us clean or unclean.
Presented by world-renowned biblical scholar Rev. Professor Francis J. Moloney SDB AM, Audio Divina, is a Lectio-Divina styled reflection on the gospel for the 22nd Sunday of Ordinary Time, Year B.
Gospel Reading: Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23
This week’s readers are Isabella and Lester
Narrated and Produced by Br Jeff Miller SDB
