1996 NBL coach of the Year Brett Flanigan coached the Canberra Cannons from 1993 to 2000 and has since gone on to create yournextbiggame.com, a company focused helping retired athletes move past depression and into the second stage of their lives.

Brett became the youngest coach to ever lead an NBL program when he moved took over from Barry Barnes at the Cannons in 1994.
