Jesus became real to them, present to them, powerful for them in an act they had perhaps repeated with him dozens of times before. Now in the power of resurrection, it reshapes their faith and way of life, propelling them into the post-resurrection world to form new communities that were oriented around the table. Every time we gather at the table it is an opportunity and a means to experience the presence and blessing of the risen Lord.
