In other words, God's way of dealing with us is not contingent on our contributions, our worth, or our strengths; it is purely dependent upon his desire to give. Part of the challenge of learning to live within the kingdom of God is to appreciate the grace we are shown, to be content with the resources we are given, and to praise the magnanimity of the giver who gives irrespective of merit. We are called to contentedness, appreciating the grace that is able to provide us with what we need at just the right hour.
