He has been entrusted with the fate of heinous criminals, those for whom accidents and bad decisions have landed them in trouble, those who have been tragically hurt by the selfishness, greed, and hatred of others, and those who are unjustly and unfairly accused and victimized. One thing Doug has afforded to each offender, whether prosecuting or defending them, is the recognition that no person is so heinous as to be beneath his just, fair, and respectful treatment. Because no person is above reproach, wrongdoing, injustice, and evil must always be confronted with humility.
