STG203: Get Rid of Tape and Modernize Backup with AWS - a podcast by AWS

Do you have on-premises tape backups or expensive VTL hardware? Worried about moving cases of tapes off site? Not sure about the integrity of your data on tape? Learn how to use AWS services, including AWS Storage Gateway, to replace existing traditional approaches. Using Storage Gateway and standard backup software, you can back up to Amazon S3 and Amazon Glacier or tier snapshots to AWS. This enables both long-term data retention for compliance, and also recovery into Amazon EC2, locally, or to another site in case of a disaster.
