The Schmuck Club returns this week to discuss the biggest movie so far in 2019, Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel comes in big this week with over $150 million. The 21st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe raked in over $450 million worldwide. How to Train Your Dragon 3 and A Madea Family Funeral round off the top three for the week.







The News







The dark take on the superhero genre, Brightburn, dropped it’s second trailer. Delving more into the horrific side of super-powered beings, Brightburn hits theaters May 24th. Ari Aster’s sophomore film Midsommar drops a very bright, yet disturbing teaser. Aster’s follow up to Hereditary reaches audiences August 9th. Idris Elba replaces Will Smith as Deadshot in Suicide Squad 2. Tyrese Gibson joins the cast of Morbius, while Jared Leto drops the first teaser for the film.







Disney News







Disney+ will include the entire library of Disney films, including those in the dreaded Disney Vault. This most likely excludes Song of the South (we don’t talk about that one). Disney CEO Bob Iger confirms that there have been talks to complete the National Treasure trilogy with Jerry Bruckheimer. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil drops the first official poster to the film. The follow up to 2014 Disney film hits theaters October 18th.
