We return for an episode of Back Lot 605.  Today we talk about last weeks numbers.  ‘Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch‘ takes number 1 at the box office.

We pay tribute to the loss of Douglas Rain who passed away at the age of 90.  The man who gave us the voice of Hal 9000 in 2001: A Space Odyssey.  (NY Times)

Casey and Brian discuss the possible future Jay and Silent Bob Get a Reboot.  With some of the struggles that Kevin Smith has had with trying to make sequels to existing properties, it lies to question if will see the light of day.  AMC is making a direct sequel to Breaking Bad starring Aaron Paul.  Where does the movie go with how the show ended.

Casey discusses how Robert Englund had made a treatment back in the day that could have been ‘Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Freddy’s Fun House.’  Would have this treatment been better than what was made, who better to know Freddy than Freddy himself.

We are getting sequels that do not have characters and stars returning.  It has been confirmed that Taron Egerton would not be reprising his role as Eggsy in Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming sequel/possible prequel.  Common is not coming back to return to John Wick 3: Parabellum, even though he was a fan favorite.

Disney announces the name of it’s streaming service.  They look to roll out new original content directly to the service.  Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role of Loki for a series on the service and Captain Marvel will be the first MCU film to stream on the service instead of Netflix.  Diego Luna gets to reprise his role as Cassian Andor for a new Star Wars series.
