Welcome to the Back Lot 605 Podcast number Episode 57: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Movie Madness Bracket! We are joined by our good friends Andy Heller of Fat Dude Digs Flicks, and professional wrestling commentator Charlie Eccles. For those of you who don’t know, Andy and Charlie have a bit of a rivalry. This began at this past SiouxperCon at the Back Lot 605 Live Podcast recording.







Andy called out SiouxperCon guest and WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn. Charlie, who played a big part in bringing Gunn to Sioux Falls, took offense to Andy’s words. Charlie did what he does best and picked up a mic for the honor of Billy Gunn.







Flash-forward to present day. We bring in these two local titans on the mic to come face to face. With the release of Jumanji: The Next Level, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, we thought now was as good of time as any to bring Charlie and Andy together on the podcast. Many would say Charlie is the wrestling guy, and Andy the movie guy. But, what some may not know is Charlie is also a big movie fan, and Andy a wrestling fan. The two worlds collide to determine the greatest film starring Dwayne Johnson!









The Box Office







Frozen II reigns supreme again with a $34.6 million in it’s third weekend. Coming in at number two is Knives Out with a $14 million weekend. Ford v Ferarri takes the third spot with $6.5 million. Queen & Slim follows close behind with $6.5 million, just $7,000 behind Ford v Ferarri. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood rounds out the top five with $5.2 million.

A new Planet of the Apes movie is coming from The Maze Runner trilogy director Wes Ball. No word as of yet if it will continue the continuity of the Andy Serkis lead series. Peter Sarsgaard has joined the cast of The Batman. Sarsgaard is rumored to be playing the role of Harvey Dent, aka Two Face.
