Halloween Series Countdown
Beginning in 1978 with John Carpenter’s original Halloween, the masked Shape, Michael Myers, was released upon the world. After 7 sequels, the franchise was rebooted in 2007 by musician turned director Rob Zombie. Nearly a decade later the franchise returned to the original with a direct sequel from David Gordon Green. On this Killer Countdown, we countdown the top 8 films in the entire Halloween franchise. With eleven films eligible, which will not make the Halloween ranking?
To help do so we are joined by local filmmaker Dominic Wieneke. Dominic has directed over ten short films, including the award winning Mr. Pointy. Also, Wieneke directed the heavy metal slasher feature film, Death Rot. As a lifelong horror fan, Dom has fulfilled a lifelong dream of being a part of the Friday the 13th lexicon. Wieneke is a grip and camera op on the upcoming Deborah Voorhees directed 13 Fanboy. 13 Fanboy is an offshoot of the Friday the 13th series about a stalker killer who preys on the actors of the Friday series.
