Welcome to the Back Lot 605 Podcast! On this episode we are joined with Cory Jacobsen of Somewhat Random Movie Collection. Cory joins us to discuss a favorite topic of ours, movies that are so bad they’re good. We look at movies that transcend being a bad movie and evolve into a piece of endlessly re-watchable entertainment. We want to know what are some of your favorite so bad they’re good movies?







The Box Office







Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw tops the box office, pulling in $60 million. This Fast & Furious spinoff opens as one of the lowest grossing in the franchise. The Lion King continues strong with a $38 million in it’s third weekend. Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood takes in $20 million over the weekend. The News







From the director of The Witch, comes a dark homage to 1930’s cinema. The Lighthouse follows two lighthouse keepers isolated on a New England island. The Robert Eggers directed film stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. The Lighthouse hits theaters October 18.







The much anticipated Martin Scorsese directed Netflix film The Irishman drops it’s first official trailer. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel, and the returning Joe Pesci. The Irishman hits select theaters and Netflix later this fall.







Blumhouse Productions presents The Hunt. A group of strangers are being hunted down one by one by a mysterious purpose. The Hunt stars Betty Gilpin, Hilary Swank, and Glenn Howerton. The film hits theaters September 27.







So Bad They’re Good Movies







Do you have a certain movie that you love to show to your friends and just make fun of? Is it The Room, Troll 2, Showgirls?
