Welcome to Episode 44 of the Back Lot 605 Podcast! This week we are joined by actor and comedian Nathan Hults. Nathan is the star of the upcoming film Black Eyed Girl and the owner of Boss’ Comedy Club. With Nathan’s comedy background we take a look at some of our favorite romantic comedies! We also take a look at the box office numbers and the major movie news from the last week.









The Box Office







It Chapter 2 takes the number one spot at the box office with $91 million. The sequel to the 2017 hit took a dip from the first film, which opened at $123 million. Angel Has Fallen takes the number 2 spot with $5.9 million. Good Boys takes the 3rd spot at $5.4 million in it’s fourth week out.

The news week included six new trailers, some casting news, and new films in development. 







Bad Boys for Life hits theaters January 17, 2020







Black Christmas hits theaters December 13, 2019







Birds of Prey hits theaters February 7, 2020











Jexi hits theaters October 11, 2019







Just Mercy hits theaters January 10, 2020







Waves hits theaters November 1, 2019







Will Poulter (We Are the Millers) has joined the cast of Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings series. He has been cast in a yet undisclosed role. Haley Atwell (Captain America) has joined the cast of Mission Impossible 7. A sequel to the Alicia Vikander lead Tomb Raider has been slated for a March 19, 2021 release date. Paramount has announced plans to remake the Nicholas Cage and John Travolta cult hit Face/Off
