Ranking the Kevin Smith Movies - a podcast by Back Lot 605

On episode 48 of the Back Lot 605 Podcast we take on the task of ranking every Kevin Smith movie! In honor of Jay and Silent Bob Reboot we decide to take a retrospective look at Smith’s entire filmography. How do you rank the Kevin Smith films? Also, we take a look at the box office and movie news from the past week.









The Box Office







Joker takes the number one spot at the box office with $96 million. The R rated crime drama is now the highest grossing opening for an October release domestically. Abominable takes the number two spot with $11.9 million, dropping from last week’s number one. Downton Abbey comes in at number 3 with $7.9 million.







The News







The rumor mill is churning on the Robert Pattinson lead Batman film. Reports are saying that Jeffrey Wright (Shaft) is in talks to join as Commissioner Gordon. Furthermore, Jonah Hill (Superbad) is in talks to join the film as either The Riddler or The Penguin.







Jordan Peele has signed a five year, two picture deal at Universal Pictures. The deal states that Peele will write, direct, and produce two new films for the production company.







Two new trailers have been released this past week for major comic book properties. The first of which is for the Margot Robbie lead Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).







Our second trailer is for The Kingsmen prequel film, The Kings Man.







Finally, Kevin Smith has announced that Clerks 3 is happening (tentatively)! Smith, along with Jason Mewes, announce that Jeff Anderson will return as Randal Graves in Clerks 3.
