On Episode 46 of the Back Lot 605 Podcast we are joined by our friend Andy Heller the resident fat dude of Fat Dude Digs Flicks! SiouxperCon is comic and pop culture convention taking place in Sioux Falls, SD on September 27-29 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Also, we discuss the box office and the latest movie news from the last week.









The Box Office







Downton Abbey, the big screen spinoff of the popular PBS series, takes the top spot at the box office. The film opened at number with $31 million. The Brad Pitt lead Ad Astra took the number two spot with $19.2 million. The final chapter in the Rambo saga, Last Blood, opened at number three with $19 million.







The News







A new poster for Birds of Prey has been released by Warner Bros. The poster showcases each of the main players in a lighthearted tone.







Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe) is in talks to produce a sequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The sequel is rumored to take the same route as Halloween (2018) and be a direct sequel to the original.







M. Night Shyamalan is set to direct two original films at Universal. No plot details have been announced at this time.







Two new Netflix trailers have been released, including In the Tall Grass and Living With Yourself.
